I don't know the rules about non government jobs, but it sure does seem like something stinks about being told you were doing fine and then being let go for not doing fine.  Please fight this.  If you are like me, I am sure you don't want to go back to a place where you aren't wanted, but you might be able to get some sort of pay from them if they did do wrong that will supplement your income while you are out there getting another job.   Please fight.  When this happened to me when I worked for the county, I didn'teven fight them and I so should have.
